This ceremonial object is called Blakas Pengentas representing the demon king Rahwana. It functions as a path opener and closely related with the journey to the grave. Not only as path opener, but also to cut the ketekung rope and the cloth wrapping the corpse so that it is visible and can be ritualized, and even to open and give way to the spirit of the deceased.
